The UcD180HG amplifier is intended for a wide range of audio applications, ranging from Public Address systems to ultrahigh-fidelity replay systems for studio and home use. Hypex distinguishes their amplifiers from other class D designs due a unique circuit topology. This results in flat frequency response irrespective of load impedance, nearly frequency-independent distortion behavior and very low radiated and conducted EMI.

The Hypex UcD modules have quickly established themselves as the new standard, both in terms of measured and subjective performance and therefore very suitable as amplifier in professional audio as well in consumer purposes.

HxR

These optional voltage regulators supply the UcD’s (input)opmp section, with a regulated voltage, as alternative to the standard LM7812/7912 regulators onboard the UcD modules. The HxR (HPR12/HNR12) has wider bandwidth, lower noise and lower output impedance. Clean supplies are an important aspect for good audio reproduction. This UcD180HG HxR comes with HxR pre mounted.

The UcD amplifier module only needs the proper power supply to start with their efficient, ultra clean power delivery. We recommend the SMPS400A180 as power supply for the UcD180HG amplifier module.
