Hertz MPK 163.3 three-way kit Mille Pro series consisting of 165mm MP165.3 woofer pair, 70mm MP 70.3 midrange pair, 25mm MP 25.3 tweeter pair and dedicated MPCX 3.3 crossovers.

The three-way Hertz MPK 163.3 system is dedicated to those who want the best: the MP 70.3 midrange, with double Neodymium magnet inside the coil, produces a bewitching medium range, perfect to be combined with the powerful medium-low of the MP 165.3 woofer and the detailed high range of the MP25.3 tweeter. The 20 mm coil of the MP 70.3 maximizes dynamics, the V-cone® profile improves off-axis dispersion and the Boundary Free Surround suspension allows it to achieve greater downward extension.
The dedicated MPCX 3.3 crossover has optimized cross points to take advantage of the considerable extension of the midrange using ultra-selected components.

Component features of the Hertz MPK 163.3 kit

MP 25.3 Tweeter:

• Soft dome in Tetolon fiber, for a natural and at the same time detailed reproduction of the musical nuances.
• “Center Tuning Duct” geometry, for a lower resonance frequency and reduced harmonic distortion.
• Neodymium magnet with high density magnetic flux, optimized for maximum control during high energy dynamic transients in the medium-high frequency range.
• 25 mm mobile coil cooled with ferrofluid.
• Rear chamber filled with selected damping material and sized for a lower Fs, to ensure a well damped roll-off of the high frequencies, allowing a low crossing point for the cutoff frequency.
• Faceplate geometry optimized with FEM (Finite Element Modeling) technique for high linearity with off-axis installations.
• Wide variety of installation accessories, for easy integration in preparation.

Midrange MP 70.3:

• Double symmetric Neodymium magnet structure developed with FEM (Finite Element Modeling) simulations, for superior control and dynamics.
• Double layer 20 mm CCAW reel wrapped in a Polyamide former with 8 decompression holes, for exceptional power handling and compression-free reproduction.
• Exponential V-cone® profile in pressed paper with cotton fibers to combine stiffness and lightness for an extended frequency response. Cone profile geometrically optimized for maximum linearity and dispersion in the mid frequency range.
• Rubber "Boundary Free" surround, for better efficiency and longer mid-low frequencies.
• Magnet cover in anti-vibration rubber, to dampen spurious vibrations, removable to adapt in case of installations with limited depth.
• Aluminum alloy basket with low depth, acoustically transparent with elegant diamond cut and characterized by the Hertz aluminum logo.
• Metal grill with Hertz logo in aluminum for total protection and internal grill with attractive look and painting with mineral powders are included for the different installation combinations.

Woofert MP 165.3:

• Mobile coil in pure copper wound on former in Polyamide for a high power handling together with a low intermodulation of the voices.
• Exponential V-cone® profile in pressed paper with cotton fibers to combine stiffness and lightness for an extended frequency response. Cone profile geometrically optimized for maximum linearity and dispersion in the mid frequency range.
• Rubber “Boundary Free” surround, for better efficiency and longer mid-low frequencies.
• High density flux ferrite magnet combined with low carbon polar plates for less distortion at high power levels.
• Aluminum alloy basket with low depth, acoustically transparent with elegant diamond cut and characterized by the Hertz aluminum logo.
• Metal grill with Hertz logo in aluminum for total protection and internal grill with attractive look and painting with mineral powders are included for the different installation combinations.

Crossover MPCX 3.3:

• Two-position switch (0 / +2 dB) to adjust the level of the tweeter and midrange and optimize the emission of the transducer based on their installation position.
• Bi-metallic 100 V high quality polyester film capacitors with an ultra low DF value, for maximum sound transparency and clear high frequencies.
• 1 mm diameter pure copper coils with low resistance series for lower dissipation losses in the woofer section where high current transients are required.
• Compact design to the advantage of ease of installation, with ventilation grille on the upper side that allows efficient heat dissipation.
