Hertz CPK 690 speaker system of the Cento PRO line, is composed of a pair of elliptical woofers to take advantage of the 6x9 "positions, which are particularly common in the North American automotive market, as for the models of the Toyota and FORD groups.

Like the other speakers of the Cento PRO line, the cone of the woofer is made of printed paper, the most suitable material to obtain a linear and controlled emission even when the woofer is piloted with very high power.

All electroacoustic parameters have been optimized to obtain maximum performance with door installations; we therefore find an improved magnetic group and a voice coil for excellent power management and a lower resonance frequency.

The large emission area of ​​the CP 690 increases the efficiency of the woofer and extends the response up to 35 Hz.

The crossover made with selected components has a low pass filter on the woofer with 6 dB / oct. slope and 12 dB / oct. on the tweeter with three levels of attenuation.

Hertz CPK 690 component characteristics

CP 25 tweeter:

• Soft 29 mm (1.14 in.) Tetolon® fiber dome and 1 mm (25 mm) reel. Cooled with ferrofluid, for a natural yet detailed reproduction of musical nuances.
• “Center Tuning Duct” geometry, for a lower resonance frequency and reduced harmonic distortion.
• Neodymium magnet with high density magnetic flux, optimized for maximum control during high energy dynamic transients in the medium-high frequency range.
• Rear chamber filled with selected damping material and sized for low resonance, ensuring a natural mid range and a low crossover frequency with the woofer.
• Faceplate geometry optimized with the FEM (Finite Element Modeling) technique for linear frequency response in off-axis installations.
• Wide range of accessories, for easy integration into OEM placements.

CP 690 woofer:

• Pressed paper cone with FEM optimized geometry, which combines rigidity and lightness for a colorless sound.
• 30mm (1.2 inch) double layer voice coil sized to maximize high excursion and power management.
• High density flow ferrite magnet combined with low carbon polar plates to reduce distortion at high power levels.
• Compact and transparent three-spoke basket, acoustically combined with a rubber magnet for total damping of spurious vibrations.

CPCX 690 crossovers:

• Tweeter level adjustable via a three-position switch (-2, 0, +2 dB) for optimal tonal balance that can be customized by the user
• 3.1 kHz crossover frequency, with 12 dB / oct. and a 6 dB slope for the woofer, which improves the reconstruction of the virtual stage in the car compartment.
• 160 V metallic finish capacitors with high quality polyester film with an ultra low DF value and low resistance pure copper inductors, for maximum sound transparency and clear high frequencies.
• Compact design with metallic finish to the advantage of ease of installation, with air intakes for effective heat dissipation.
