Envelope for 12″ Maxi Single or LP slim - 50 pieces - 30µm thick

These transparent envelopes are unobtainable on the market. They are glossy polypropylene envelopes, extremely transparent, with a "mirror" effect, smaller than the standard size because they are cut to the size of the 12″ Maxi-singles that have the SLIM cover, i.e. the outer cover without thickness (covers without the so-called "rib").

 

These types of cardboard outer covers called "SLIM" are and have been widely used in the production of 12″ Maxi-singles, 12″ Extended Play and Mini LPs and they fit the vinyl very snugly, so much so that the record is practically always without the internal paper or tissue envelope, normally present in LPs or Maxi-singles with thick cardboard covers. Consequently, the outer dimension of these SLIM covers is almost 1 cm smaller in base per height than the cardboard covers of standard productions.

 

The small size of these cardboard SLIM covers accompanying the 12″ maxi-singles generates an aesthetic problem when one decides to protect them with standard transparent envelopes: the empty space is too large on the perimeter of the transparent envelope. It is not at all pleasant to see a vinyl cover with an oversized transparent envelope on it.

 

Instead, the problem is brilliantly solved by this model of envelopes of our exclusive production. They fit perfectly around SLIM covers, leaving just a couple of millimetres of room to manoeuvre.

 

PLEASE NOTE: As you can see from the attached photos (Antoine & Francoise Hardy LPs), SOME LPs also have SLIM covers. These are usually albums released in the 1960s, of European production (they are usually original Italian, French and Dutch prints) with laminated covers and no "edge" on the perimeter or, if they have one, it is rather thin (1 millimetre or so).

 

These envelopes therefore COULD (the conditional is a must) fit some of these albums but it is only an option that does not guarantee 100% positive results, i.e. we do not take any responsibility if some albums with "SLIM" covers would not fit into these envelopes.

 

The product offered for sale is only intended to hold the standard slim covers of the 12″ Maxi-singles.
