Hertz MPK 130.3 two-way kit 130 mm Mille Pro series consisting of pair of MP 130.3 woofers, pair of MP 25.3 tweeters and dedicated MPCX 2.3 crossovers. Grids included.

The MPK 130.3 system maintains the same tonal setting as the MPK 165.3. The Boundary Free Surround suspension of the MP 130.3 woofer maximizes the SPL pressure generated for the same installation diameter, while the generous excursion of the mobile unit ensures high power handling.

The dedicated MPCX 2.3 crossover is designed to take advantage of the wide extension of the MP 165.3 and MP 130.3 woofers in the MPK 165.3 and MPK 130.3 systems, guaranteeing a natural transition to the MP25.3 tweeter, for maximum naturalness of emission. The 1 mm diameter copper woofer filter coil maximizes woofer efficiency. The MPCX 2.3 crossover is equipped with a tweeter level control (0 / +2 dB) to dose the emission level of the MP 25.3 with respect to the woofer.

Features MPK 130.3

MP 25.3 Tweeter:

1. Soft dome in Tetolon fiber, for a natural and at the same time detailed reproduction of the musical nuances.
2. “Center Tuning Duct” geometry, for a lower resonance frequency and reduced harmonic distortion.
3. Neodymium magnet with high density magnetic flux, optimized for maximum control during high energy dynamic transients in the medium-high frequency range.
4. 25 mm mobile coil cooled with ferrofluid.
5. Rear chamber filled with damping material selected and sized for a lower Fs, to ensure a well-damped roll-off of the high frequencies, allowing a low crossing point for the cutoff frequency.
6. Faceplate geometry optimized with FEM (Finite Element Modeling) technique for high linearity with off-axis installations.
7. Wide variety of installation accessories, for easy integration in preparation.

Midrange MP 130.3:

1. Pure copper mobile coil wound on a Polyamide former for high power handling together with low voice intermodulation.
2. Exponential V-cone® profile in pressed paper with cotton fibers to combine stiffness and lightness for a frequency response
extended. Cone profile geometrically optimized for maximum linearity and dispersion in the mid frequency range.
3. “Boundary Free” rubber surround, for better efficiency and longer mid-low frequencies.
4. High density flux ferrite magnet combined with low carbon polar plates for less distortion at high power levels.
5. Aluminum alloy basket with low depth, acoustically transparent with holes for spider ventilation.
6. Metal grill with Hertz logo in aluminum for total protection and internal grill with attractive look and painting with mineral powders are included for the different installation combinations.

MPCX 2.3 crossover:

1. Two-position switch (0 / +2 dB) to adjust the level of the tweeter and optimize the emission of the transducer.
2. Bi-metallic 160 V high-quality polyester film capacitors with an ultra-low DF value, for maximum sound transparency and clear high frequencies.
3. 1 mm diameter pure copper coils with low resistance series for lower dissipation losses in the woofer section where high current transients are required.
4. Compact design to the advantage of simplicity of installation, with ventilation grille on the upper side for efficient heat dissipation.
