Cento series:

Coaxial speakers represent a significant design challenge, to achieve high performance requires a great design effort, regularly addressed by the Hertz R&D team.
Hertz CX 100 has a new tweeter with a 24 mm (0.9 in.) Tetolon® dome and has a more musical and detailed sound than traditional plastic materials. Thanks to the RHFC ™ system, the tweeter can be oriented towards the listening point to optimize the response at high frequencies. As for the two-way system woofers, SPP-M (Semi Pressed Paper-Mica) cones with superior acoustic and damping characteristics are also used in the coaxials.

Strengths of the Hertz CX 100 coaxials:

• Soft dome tweeter in 24 mm (0.9 in.) Tetolon® with ferrofluid cooled coil, for extended and natural high frequencies.
• RHFC ™ (Rotary High Frequency Contour) tweeter angled and orientable towards the listener for a perfect frequency response in any installation scenario.
• Faceplate of the tweeter with optimized geometry with FEM (Finite Element Modeling) simulations, to provide an extremely linear off-axis frequency response.
• 25 mm (1 in.) Diameter woofer coil with aluminum former to ensure high excursion and power handling.
• 100 mm (4 in.) Semi-pressed paper cone SPP-M (Semi Pressed Paper-Mica) enriched with Mica powder for an excellent balance between lightness and damping.
• High flux density ferrite magnet combined with low carbon polar plates for less distortion at high power levels.
• Compact and transparent three-spoke basket acoustically combined with a rubber magnet cover for total damping of spurious vibrations.
• Elegant optional grill with high-strength ABS plastic structure and metallic finish combined with a protective metal mesh.
