The APBX 8 AS active sub, with 8-inch driver, is equipped with a dedicated high-performance amplifier module that enhances all the technologies of the passive boxes, such as the 2S² design (2 Sides / 2 Sounds), the Plug & Play terminal block and the ultra compact dimensions.

The amplification module, with 250 W RMS output power, is developed with HE-LI technology (high efficiency / low impedance), which thanks to the absence of the booster exceeds the impressive efficiency level of 90%, very close to the theoretical limit of the Class-D. The elimination of the booster was possible thanks to the development of the new dual coil drivers, which inherit the entire technological background of the Prima subwoofers, but are distinguished by the ultra low impedance (0.16ohms in the case of the APBX 10 AS). it allows a perfect synergy with HE-LI (High Efficiency Low Impedance) technology, making the most of the combination of amplifier, speakers and box with closed box loading, to obtain powerful and defined low frequencies.

The controls section is complete and allows optimal adjustment of the emission at the bottom of the passenger compartment. The Butterworth low pass filter at 12dB / Oct. with variable cut-off frequency (50-200 Hz) it can be bypassed, if an AP bit processor with pre-out output dedicated to the sub is used. The adjustable bass-boost control (0 ÷ 6 dB) at 45 Hz allows you to emphasize the response in the lower part of the spectrum.

The high-level speaker-in input on a multipolar connector facilitates integration with the OEM audio system and the low-level input on RCA is dedicated to the connection with after-market sources. The automatic on and off function of the ART subwoofer (Automatic Remote Turn-On) can be configured to be driven by the source remote signal, by the voltage variation on the high level input or by the audio signal on both inputs. Phase control (0 - 180 °) completes the equipment.

The SSP (Sub Smart Plug) terminal block is equipped with a single Plug & Play connector that allows you to disconnect the box easily and safely.
